Privacy Policy — iPad
This policy explains how BRDY Studios, LLC (United States) handles information in the iPad version of Cosmic XR. The Meta Quest version has a separate privacy policy.
Our Approach to Privacy
The core Cosmic XR experience on iPad does not require an internet connection or an account. We do not collect personal information from your use of the iPad app on our servers, and the app does not include advertising, advertising tracking, or third-party in-app analytics. Processing data on your device to display an augmented reality experience is different from collecting that data on our servers.
Camera Access and Augmented Reality
Cosmic XR uses the iPad camera and Apple's ARKit technology to display space content in your surroundings. Camera images and device motion and tracking information are processed on your device to determine the camera's position and orientation and keep virtual content aligned with the real world.
We do not upload camera images, video, motion data, or information about your surroundings to BRDY Studios servers, and we do not use this information for advertising or identification. The app does not require your geographic location, contacts, or microphone for this experience.
You can allow or revoke camera access in iPad Settings. Camera-based augmented reality is unavailable without this permission.
Local App Data
Preferences such as language, audio, and display settings may be stored locally on your iPad. The installed space content and local settings work offline and do not require an account. App distribution, updates, and any links you choose to open may require an internet connection.
Apple Services
Apple provides the App Store, app distribution, and payment processing for App Store purchases. BRDY Studios does not receive your payment card number or Apple Account password. Apple may process store transactions and device or app diagnostics according to its services and your sharing settings. See App Store & Privacy and the Apple Privacy Policy.
The Meta Horizon purchase, entitlement, and DLC services described in our Quest policy do not apply to this iPad policy.
Support and Website Visits
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send. We use this information to respond to your request. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, and our business email is provided by IONOS. These providers process the technical or correspondence information needed to deliver their services. Visiting the website or contacting support is separate from using the app. Website inquiry forms and their handling are described in our website privacy disclosures.
Sharing, Retention, and Deletion
We do not sell personal information or share app interaction or AR data for advertising. Local app settings remain until cleared or the app is deleted. Device backups are controlled through your Apple settings and may restore local data. Deleting the app does not erase Apple's App Store transaction records.
We retain support correspondence only as needed to handle your request and related business or legal obligations. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of information held by BRDY Studios, email [email protected] with the subject Cosmic XR iPad Privacy Request. Identify the correspondence or information concerned. We may request the minimum information necessary to verify your request and will explain any required retention. For data controlled by Apple, use the contact options in Apple's privacy policy.
Children's Privacy
Cosmic XR does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the iPad app. Parents and guardians can manage camera permissions, purchases, and app access using the controls provided by Apple.
Changes to This Policy
If the iPad app's data practices change, we will update this page and its effective date before those changes take effect.
